Our Story

We’re Brendan and Alice — husband and wife, parents of three, and co-founders of Max Impact Investments.

Our real estate journey began in 2016 when we poured our sweat equity into transforming our first home. That experience revealed something deeper: real estate could be a pathway to stability, opportunity, and purposeful impact. In 2019, we used the equity created in our home to purchase and duplex our next property, opening our eyes to how thoughtful investing could create freedom and generosity.

As we grew, we realized our story was less about accumulating properties and more about equipping people. We felt called to use our strengths — Brendan’s construction and engineering background and Alice’s heart for creating spaces where families, friends, and community can connect — to help others build wealth with wisdom and stewardship.

That calling became Max Impact Investments. Today, we guide like-minded investors toward purposeful investing through our Impact Opportunity (IO) model, helping them grow wealth that creates lasting legacy and generous impact.

Meet Brendan

Brendan has spent more than twenty years in the construction and engineering industry leading large-scale development projects and solving complex building challenges. He brings a builder’s mindset, a problem solver’s instincts, and a heart for stewardship to every project. At Max Impact, he leads development strategy, using his technical background to create housing that serves families and builds meaningful legacy. When he’s not building projects, he’s building memories as husband, father, and proud head coach of “Team Farquhar.”

Hi, I’m Brendan. Husband, father, and co-founder of Max Impact Investments.

For over twenty years, I have worked in the construction and development industry as a labourer, structural engineer, and senior project manager. Throughout my career, I have guided teams through more than $350M in completed commercial and industrial development projects. While that experience was built through my professional career, it has become the foundation of the expertise I now bring to Max Impact Investments.

I have always been drawn to problem-solving and creative vision, seeing potential where others might not. Real estate has become the perfect space to combine that technical skill set with a passion for building something meaningful and lasting. At Max Impact Investments, I focus on using this background to identify opportunities, steward resources wisely, and create investments that generate both profit and purpose.

Beyond the numbers, my greatest role is serving as husband, father, and head coach of “Team Farquhar.” You’ll usually find me building, creating, or dreaming up our next family adventure. Faith, family, and stewardship are at the heart of how we live and lead, and they continue to shape every project we take on.

Alice’s early career in kinesiology shaped her love for helping people grow and thrive. Today she invests that same heart into her home, her family, and the creative direction of Max Impact Investments. Whether designing welcoming spaces, supporting homeowners, or cultivating her garden, she brings a sense of care, purpose, and hospitality to everything she does.

Hi, I’m Alice. Wife, mother, and co-founder of Max Impact Investments.

Before starting our family, I worked in the field of kinesiology helping people overcome physical challenges and regain confidence in their abilities. I found deep purpose walking alongside others on their journey of growth and recovery, helping them rebuild strength, find balance, and reach new potential.

That same heart for helping others has carried into every part of my life today. The difference is that now my heart is at home, both in raising our children and in creating spaces that bring peace, hospitality, and purpose.

Real estate has given us the opportunity to live out our values of stewardship and intentional living. I love the creative side of transforming properties, turning something ordinary into something that reflects care and potential.

I also have a deep desire to encourage others, especially families, to live generously and with purpose. When I’m not working alongside Brendan or managing our home, you’ll find me gardening, preserving food, or creating spaces where family, friends, and community can connect.
